Net-Works enables fishing communities in developing countries to sell discarded, environment-damaging, fishing nets back into a global supply chain. The recycled nylon is turned into beautiful and long lasting carpet tiles by Interface, and the local communities receive long-term incentives to protect their natural environment.
375 were asked to explore ways of promoting Interface’s Net-Works initiative. In line with the aspirations of one of the world’s leading innovators in sustainability, 375 went beyond a campaign idea to create new business models that would be good for communities and the environment, as well as generating profit. In collaboration with Interface, we explored ways of replicating the Net-Works business model in the UK, which would both promote and expand this pioneering programme.
